Helpful Hints For Successful Fund Raising

#1 KNOW YOUR PRODUCT
Take an active interest in the subject of hydration, water chemistry, and water technology. Always make an effort to learn more and to discern how clean, healthy water or the lack thereof, affects people all over the world.

#2 ORGANIZE, AND PLAN FOR SECCESS
A few minutes spent planning your fundraising drive will prove to be the best thing you can do to assure your success.
• Set a goal for each fundraiser, and write it down.
• Set a time limit to reach your goal i.e. weekly or bi-weekly.
• Lay out a “Plan of Attack”. For example:
o Make a list of potential customers – friends, relatives, and organizations (church, fraternal, social, civic).
o Identify neighborhoods you want to canvass.
o Make up your own flyer or brochure to parties, dances and other social events.
o Show your plan to all members and seek feedback i.e. what works, what doesn’t etc.
• Frequently check to see how you are doing against your goals and plan.
• Start now! You have laid out your plan, so make the most of it with an early start.
• Make up your flyer or brochure and circulate at parties.

#3 KEEP ACCURATE RECORDS

Don’t underestimate the value of a recommendation. Make it a point to ask your customers for names and addresses of these people at every sales call. Leave your name and number to be passed on to other interested people.

#5 BE PROMPT
* At the end of your "Hydration Drive", give money and copies to your team leader (preferably a trusting adult).
